If you feel so strongly about it, you are free to code it yourself. This is a priority for you maybe, not for the project. Please feel free to help, this is a priority. Some people use antimicro or joy2key, but anyway, this should be an option into the emulator settings. I have check all the world wide web without any information about it. Sorry but this is crazy to see no progress on a so much basic request. I am special dont mind me latreides hahaha. Allowing users to bind a controller key to the exit hot key, or just taking the existing "Home" SDL controller binding as many emulators tend to dowould allow PCSX2 to work better with emulator front ends hooked up to a TV. I have to carry a keyboard around with my emulation box, exclusively to exit from PCSX2. This poses a problem for emulation setups that are hooked up to the TV. The hot key to exit the emulator is only available on the keyboard. Already on GitHub? Sign in to your account. Have a question about this project? Um no? DS4 has native handler.GitHub is home to over 50 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. This is a Windows only issue, in Linux the device is already fully supported. I'm not really sure how "native" support is nice different from existing solutions. Dismiss Join GitHub today GitHub is home to over 50 million developers working together to host and review code, manage projects, and build software together. Anyway, I guess like none of this would hurt. I mean, pressure sensitive buttons are always important. We don't support the advanced features that a rpcs3 guy allegedly said were there from it though. None of that is really relevant for ps2 emulation though albeit they are still additional possible controls. You are right for the dualshock 4, I was looking for dualshock 3 sorry for the confusion but anyway, DS4Windows allows you to fully use your DS4 potential even with PCSX2 such as sixaxis, touchpad etc In that way, why do you want native mode?

PCSX2 1.4.0 Setup Tutorial Best Configuration Guide \u0026 Emulator - Play PS2 Games On Your PC While LilyPad technically compiles on Linux, everyone uses onepad or onepad-legacy. That's implied by it saying "LilyPad" in the title. It seems there's enough information to do the same for DS4 controllers, if it ain't already done that is.

That reminds me, there's a ff driver for xinput controllers that give them rumble under DirectInput. Still, someone might be interested in coding it. So the only advantage for this is to have rumble without a third party thing? Seems like quite the lot of work just for that. Like literally right now, to add Steam Controller support for the non-steam shortcut, I have to use Big Picture Mode, and it outright crashes after 2 seconds, so I can't configure anything. By default you get an awful Desktop configuration that messes with inputs more than it helps, and most people won't even bother to configure anything. In my experience, launching through Steam works fine with a DS4 and allows it to be used as an XInput device.Īs for the "different", how about you're not depending on Steam with the native handler.

On the plus side we get: full feature support, including Force Feedback, auto bindings similar to xinput and better support than through evdev on Linux.
